Registered Nurse- Surgery Out Patient- Plainview- On Call / PRN

Job Description:
? The RN independently uses the nursing process to safely, therapeutically and efficiently care for a group of patients.
? Uses information from a variety of sources to assess, plan, implement, identify outcomes and evaluate patient's plan of care.
? Perioperative nurses must have the ability to interact well with all kinds of people in difficult situations.
? Emotional stability and a caring and empathetic attitude are key
? Make critical decisions based on available information about the patient
? Coordinate the patient's health care
? Collaborate with physicians and other health care professionals
? Determine when consultation is required
? Perioperative nursing also makes significant demands on physical strength and stamina, for instance, in positioning patients and transporting equipment needed for surgery, and sometimes standing for long periods of time during operations. Operating Room Specific Job Duties:
The role of the operating room (OR) nurse or perioperative nurse is to provide care for patients before, during and after surgery or surgical procedures.
Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field; scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field.
Operating room nurses or perioperative nurses work in every type of healthcare facility, including hospitals, ambulatory or outpatient surgery centers and physician offices.
Roles include:
Scrub nurse: who selects and handles instruments and supplies used for the operation
Circulating nurse: who manages the overall nursing care in the operating room and helps maintain a safe, comfortable environment
RN first assistant: who delivers direct surgical care by assisting the surgeon in controlling bleeding, providing wound exposure, and suturing during the actual procedure
Minimum Position Qualifications:
? Candidates must meet the criteria to sit for the NCLEX examination and become licensed in the state of Texas
? BSN required or BSN must be completed within five years
License / Certification:
? Current licensure in Texas or an approved compact state as a Registered Nurse or proof of application for licensure
? Certified in BLS
? At least one year of RN experience preferred
? Experience in ER, ICU, and Cardiac are a plus

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
